Day 37, August 17...Watson Lake, Yukon to Bell 2 Lodge, BC

I'm staying at the Bell 2 Lodge about 300 miles south of Watson Lake on Hwy 37, the Cassiar Highway.  Right in the middle of nowhere.  I had stayed here when I made the trip to Alaska in 2010, and they've really upgraded the place...and the prices.  Anyway, it's very nice and a godsend.

I had cloudy skies but no rain when I left Watson Lake this morning, but that didn't last long.  I has rained cats and dogs the whole way down.  Temperatures in the 50's and steady rain.  I'm beginning to think that it's a little wet up here.

I couldn't get a lot of shots of the scenery, but here are the few I did get:

This is the Cassiar Highway.  Back in West Virginia, we'd call it a turnpike.

And some more along the way:

Did get a couple pictures of the Bell 2 Lodge later in he evening:

Hoping for a drier day tomorrow.  Headed further south on the Cassiar Hwy to Smithers, BC for the night.  Hope you're enjoying the pictures.
